Manual Update Galaxy Note N7000 with Official Jellybean 4 1 2 XXLT5 Firmware

 XXLT5 for Galaxy Note N7000 ropes in the much awaited stability to the Jellybean 4.1.2 release and can now be updated in your device. So, for all those who are just waiting for updating your device with the most stable firmware ever can now rejoice. Let’s check out on how you can exactly apply this release in your phablets. For all whose who have updated their device with the XXLT4 version of firmware, users reported issues with the Video Player and the same has been fixed in this release.




Note: Applying this update will in no manner be voiding the warranty in any manner as it’s an official update released by Samsung Electronics.

Quick Pre Requisites:
  • All the data in your Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 should be backed up with the help of below mentioned steps. Make sure that you are not backing the data with the help of KIES as it may not help you restore the data.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
  • From the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”, enable the USB Debugging and also make sure that your device is left with the minimum of 40% or the device will get turned off in the middle of customizing process.
  • (Optional) Turn off your device so that it can be entered in the Recovery mode. Recovery mode in Galaxy Note N7000 can be entered by pressing the Volume Up Key + Menu Button and then press the Power button. Just in case if the device gets turned ON in the normal mode, then you will have to retry the process of entering the device in the Recovery Mode. If your device is rooted, then you can enter into Recovery Mode via ROM Manager app. In Recovery mode, select “Wipe Data” and “Clear Cache” to wipe all the data.

Procedure to Update Galaxy Note N7000 with Official XXLT5 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware:
  • Turn Off your device so that it can be entered in the Download mode. Download Mode in Galaxy note N7000 can be entered by pressing the Volume Down Key + Menu Button and then press the Power button. Just in case if the device gets turned ON in the normal mode, then you will have to retry the process of entering the device in the Download Mode.
  • Connect your phone to the computer with Original USB cable and keep Odin opened in your computer. Once connected, you will see that the ID: COM section will turn yellow indicating that the device drivers have been installed successfully.
  • Click on “PDA” tab to select the tar file from the extracted firmware file and once you are done with the file selection, click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update process. As soon as the firmware update process is done, you will then have to disconnect the device from computer.
Note: If the device gets stuck in the Samsung logo or gets into the boot loop mode then you need to long press the power button and turn off the device. Repeat the process from the start by following the instructions.
So there you go, you have successfully updated your Galaxy Note with the latest version of Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware which is dubbed as XXLT5. We will very soon come up with the tutorial which will help you to root Galaxy Note n7000 on XXLT5 Firmware.
